Situated in the heart of Tottenham, this project provided 100 residential units, complemented by retail spaces on the lower storeys.

Attune was entrusted with providing a comprehensive suite of services in respect of the acoustic design, supporting the Architect and Contractor through RIBA Stages 3 and 4 of the Design and Build contract.

We undertook initial noise survey work on the site to verify the results of a survey by another consultant, and used the results of the survey to further review the previous acoustic work. This original proposals were refined to meet the evolving requirements of the Contractor, while ensuring clarity and consistency in our deliverables.

The project presented various challenges, particularly regarding building fabric design and ventilation, and sound insulation between dwellings and other areas, which required a great deal of monitoring through construction. Despite these complexities, our team leveraged our expertise and communication skills to optimise performance and functionality.

We assisted in the contractor’s understanding of these acoustic elements with a scope of preliminary sound insulation testing to ‘fine tune’ the build as it progressed.

Our responsibilities included conducting pre-completion testing to ensure compliance with the standards outlined in Approved Document Part E.
